Terms of Service

Last updated September 3, 2026

The short version: I'm a financial coach, not a licensed financial advisor, and nothing here is investment, tax, credit, or legal advice. I never take custody of your money and I never contact your creditors on your behalf. Coaching cannot guarantee any financial result. Use the free tools freely; they're estimates, not promises.

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of this website and its free tools. By using the site you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it — that's the whole enforcement mechanism, and it's a fair one.

Coaching services are governed by a separate written coaching agreement that you sign before any engagement begins. Where that agreement and these terms conflict, the coaching agreement controls.

2. What Money Unfiltered is

Money Unfiltered is a financial coaching and education practice operated by Emily Piscitello, based in Wisconsin. Coaching means working with you on budgeting, cash flow, debt payoff strategy, saving habits, and financial decision-making using the money and accounts you already have.

3. What Money Unfiltered is not

This is the most important section on the page. Money Unfiltered is not:

  • A registered investment advisor, and does not provide investment advice or recommend specific securities, funds, or investment products
  • A broker-dealer or insurance producer, and does not sell any financial product
  • A certified public accountant or tax preparer, and does not give tax advice
  • A law firm, and does not give legal advice
  • A credit repair organization as defined by the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act, and does not offer to repair, improve, or dispute items on your credit report
  • A debt settlement, debt adjustment, or debt management company. I do not negotiate with your creditors, do not accept your funds to distribute to creditors, and do not prorate your income among creditors. You always pay your own creditors directly, yourself.
  • A mortgage broker or loan originator, and does not originate, arrange, or refer loans for compensation

I receive no commissions, referral fees, or compensation of any kind from any financial institution, lender, insurer, or product provider. My only compensation comes from clients who pay me directly. If you need a licensed professional, I will tell you so and I will not take your money instead.

4. No guarantee of results

Financial outcomes depend on your income, your circumstances, your decisions, your creditors, the economy, and plain luck — most of which neither of us controls. Nothing on this site or said in a coaching session is a guarantee, warranty, or prediction that you will become debt free, reach a savings goal, improve your credit, or achieve any particular result. Any figures used are illustrative. Individual results vary and some clients will not achieve their goals.

5. The free tools

The Reality Check and the Debt Hit List are free educational calculators. They compute estimates from the numbers you type in, and they assume your interest rates and payments stay constant. They do not account for fees, promotional or variable rates, compounding differences between lenders, late payments, changes in income, or anything else that happens in real life.

Your actual results will differ from what they show. Verify anything important against your actual statements and loan agreements before making a decision based on it. The tools are provided as-is, and are not a substitute for reading your own contracts.

The calculators run entirely in your browser. No data you enter is transmitted to me or stored anywhere. See the Privacy Policy.

6. Coaching engagements, payment, and cancellation

Specific terms are set out in your coaching agreement, but in general:

  • Every engagement begins with a free consultation, with no obligation on either side.
  • The Reset is a one-time fee, payable before the session.
  • Monthly coaching has a three-month initial commitment, then continues month to month. After the initial term you may cancel with one week's written notice, with no cancellation fee.
  • Fees paid for sessions already delivered are non-refundable. The Reset, where the full deliverable is provided in a single session, is non-refundable once the session takes place.
  • Monthly coaching includes a first-session decision point: if after the first session you decide it isn't for you, tell me within seven days and you are released from the rest of the initial term at no further charge.
  • Missed appointments without at least 24 hours' notice may be treated as delivered.

Prices listed on this site are current at the time of posting and may change. The price quoted to you in writing at the time you engage is the price that applies to you.

7. Your responsibilities

Coaching only works on real numbers. You are responsible for giving me accurate and complete information, for making your own decisions, and for the consequences of those decisions. You remain solely responsible for paying your own bills, meeting your own obligations, and complying with your own agreements with lenders. I advise; you decide and you act.

8. Confidentiality

I keep what you share with me confidential, as described in the Privacy Policy and your coaching agreement. Note that financial coaching is not a legally privileged relationship in the way that attorney-client communication is.

9. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, design, the Money Unfiltered name and logo, the calculators, and the worksheets — belongs to Money Unfiltered. You are welcome to use the tools and print the worksheets for your own personal use, and to share links to this site freely. You may not copy, republish, resell, or rebrand this material as your own or use it commercially without written permission.

10. Third-party links

Links to other sites are provided for convenience and are not endorsements. I am not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

This website and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. I do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Money Unfiltered and Emily Piscitello will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of this website, the free tools, or coaching services.

Total liability for any claim relating to coaching services will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the services giving rise to the claim. Total liability for any claim relating to the free tools or the website, which cost you nothing, is zero.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Money Unfiltered and Emily Piscitello from claims arising out of your misuse of this site or your violation of these terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please email me. Most disagreements are cheaper and faster to solve with a conversation, and I would genuinely rather have one.

15. Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version is always the one posted here with the date below. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16. Severability

If any provision here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
